Autism Spectrum Disorder: Nutrition...a piece of the puzzle

One-on-One Mentoring

One-on-one mentoring with Elizabeth Strickland is available for Registered Dietitians and Licensed Nutrition Professionals interested in enhancing their clinical skills working with autism. Elizabeth has over 30 years of clinical experience working with individuals with autism and has a wealth of information to share with other professionals.

There are four different "Nutrition Therapy for ASD" learning programs to choose from. Elizabeth will work with you to determine which program is best for you and develop an individualized learning plan based on your level of current knowledge and specific topics of interest. An individualized learning plan may include 1-on-1 instruction on strategies and interventions for feeding problems, nutritional treatment for gastrointestinal problems, interpretation of lab tests, appropriate vitamin/mineral supplements and nutraceuticals, GFCF and other special diets, interpretation of a patient's nutrition questionnaire, development of a nutrition care plan, review actual patient case studies, etc... In addition to receiving 1-on-1 instruction from Elizabeth, you will also receive valuable resources essential for your nutrition practice which Elizabeth developed and utilizes with her patients - nutrition questionnaire, nutrition assessment tools, and forms.

This Professional Development Program for Registered Dietitians offers Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEU) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
